Ancient weapons of Leth Verael

VARAELIAN ORB OF THE MOON AND STARS (By Pusur, lvl 50 monk, Halgar. 10. january 2008)

Tried gathering some info on this quest from the internet but couldnt find much specific about this quest so will try to gather some facts and info here. There is a quest called Weapons of Leth Verael that can be done even with very low faction. Im not sure if u have to do this prior to getting the main quest.

The quest starts in Wardship of the Sleeping Moon. Its given by Thorian Glowban and is called Ancient Weapons of Leth Verael. The factions i needed for him to give me this quest were 11900 full faction with the Celestine Ward and 13900 dynamic faction.

To gain faction u can do several things.

Slaying mobs around Wardship of the Sleeping Moon and combine it with repeating a quest called Foes of the Sleeping Moon which involves killing 50 mobs. This gives i think 500 faction. There are 2 followupquests that u get as u progress. More foes of the Sleeping Moon which gives 500 faction and Even more foes of the Sleeping Moon which rewards 250 faction. The 2 last ones involve killing 100 mobs. I found bringing a shaman (Thank you Shalin) with me and just AEing the whole area was fast and efficient. Each kill around Wardship of the Sleeping Moon gives +2 faction for trash and i think +20 for nameds.
Doing all the quests in Wardship of the Sleeping Moon and the quests for Vol Tuniel. They give from 200 to 900 faction each.
Turning in runes found on named monsters around Wardship, in Thelaseen and in Vol Tuniel. These runes give from 100 to 500 faction. Do NOT turn in runes with the words "Eltha" and "Zalge" in the description as you need 1 of each for upgrade later.

It took me approximately 10 hours of pure factiongrinding to go from 1300 faction to 13900 faction at lvl 50.

As you grind those trashmobs for faction, remember to collect and save 20-40 questarmorpieces depending on armorslot as some reward more than others (see further down). You will need these later for upgrade.

Objectives

Slay the leaders of Thelaseen and the Temple of Vol Tuniel. Return to Thorian Glowban at the Wardship of the Sleeping Moon.

Description

Thorian says, "I know one ritual that utilizes the different arcane strengths of the Veraelian elves and bestows the mix of power upon a bow or an orb."

"I only offer this ritual to those who have sufficiently aided the cause of the Celestine Ward, and you seem to have done so."

"In order to perform this ritual, I need the energies of the leaders of Thelaseen and the Temple of Vol Tuniel. Slay them, and I will channel their energy to me."

Simply run around in Thelaseen and Vol Tuniel and slay any named that you can find. I only found one named in Vol Tuniel that didnt give me an update but this could be a bug. Most of the nameds i found have PHs, so if you arent sure where the named spots are you should probably bring a guide with you. Its fairly easy to move around both places at lvl 50, at lower levels you will need a group. We didnt know where most nameds were in Vol Tuniel so we ended up running around in circles for hours till we finally happened to run across a few nameds deep inside. And again, remember to keep those runes if they are the ones you need for upgrade. Rest can be turned in for faction if you give them to Thorian Glowban.

Mote of ancient power are given to you in exchange for questarmorpieces if you turn them in to Thorian Glowban. You need questfaction to be given the option to turn these in. Belt, wrist, arms reward 5 motes. Shoulder, gloves, boots reward 15 motes. Chest and legs reward 30 motes. These motes also drop from named mobs in thelaseen after you gain questfaction. About 5 or 6 each named.
Ancient Ritual Runes drop off named mobs in the area, and also from nameds in Thelaseen and Vol Tuniel.
Ancient ritual tomes are found as groundspawns in Thelaseen and Vol Tuniel. Cant say if the ones needed for this quest spawn in a specific location or random.
Perfect Catalyst is given to you by Thorian Glowban when you have sufficient faction.
Ancient Ritual Candle can be found on random trashmobs throughout the chunk, and also in Thelaseen and Vol Tuniel. Can also be found on broker :)

I dont know if you need more faction to be able to upgrade the orb but i first noticed the option around 15k dynamic faction.
